Our new pets

Since Harry the hamster died several months ago, the children decided they wanted fish.  So, these are our new Betta fish.  Gracie's is a girl called Cece and Mya's is a boy she has called Buddy. 

Summer fun

We went to Delta fair yesterday.  The weather was fantastic and we had a great time with the animals, going on rides, eating junk food and drinking slush puppies - what more could we wish for...  

When we got home, the children decided to dress up as daddy, only thing is I don't think he looks like this.... 

Fishing

We went fishing at Chaffey's Lock this afternoon.  The girls caught over 20 fish between them!  We put them all back in the water to get bigger for next time :)   

                                                                                               

Summer activities

We all went fishing yesterday.  It was great and Gracie was the only one that caught a fish!  It will always be the one that got away, as it jumped off the hook once we got it up in the air :(  Today we went on a boat tour of the thousand islands.  It was lovely and there weather was lovely as always.

The Big Apple

Mick and I had a fantastic trip to New York.  Our feet ached every day and we were so tired, but it was brilliant.  We saw the sights and did some shopping.  It was a real eye opener and I don't think it is ever quiet  no matter what time of day it is.  It was as hot in New York as it is here at home, 30 degrees plus! 

Mya's party

Mya had her birthday party here at home yesterday.  It was great fun!

Happy birthday Mya!

Mya's 6th birthday is tomorrow, but she had her main present this evening.  She is thrilled with it!
